The rigid, modular telescope, scalable and designed to last.
The Sevunscope CORE 200 f/4 is designed to capture the maximum amount of light. Combining a comfortable 200 mm aperture with an 800 mm focal length, it delivers exceptional brightness for both astrophotography and visual observation of diffuse objects. It is a powerful instrument that remains simple to set up and use.
The idea behind the CORE platform
Instead of enclosing the optics in a sheet-metal tube, we created an open chassis made of aeronautical-grade aluminum. This structure separates functions: the platform ensures structural rigidity, while the modules carry the optics.
What this changes in the field:
Simplified transport :The telescope can be fully disassembled and stored easily. Ideal for traveling to deep-sky observing sites.
Thermal equilibrium : The open structure allows the mirrors to reach thermal balance naturally and quickly, eliminating the internal air-current effect found in closed tubes.
Durable design : The use of aluminum combined with high-performance Nylon components (SLS 3D printing) guarantees a rigid and long-lasting instrument. Each unit is assembled and inspected by hand in our workshop. The mechanical structure is guaranteed for life.
A reliable optical system (GSO)
The 200 f/4 is a reference for deep-sky imaging. Its 800 mm focal length makes it possible to capture wide fields and extended galactic structures. Equipped with a 2" rack-and-pinion focuser (with 1.25" adapter) and a 62 mm secondary mirror, it ensures excellent field coverage for your imaging sensors.
An investment for your lifetime as an astronomer
The key strength of the Sevun system is its modularity. Your practice evolves? Your instrument does too. If you later wish to move to a 200 mm or 250 mm aperture, you keep your CORE platform and simply install a new optical kit.
